Abstrakt:

A new type of replaceable energy dissipation connectors (REDC) used to connect the beam and column in the fabricated RC frame is presented in this paper. The replaceable energy dissipation connectors are placed at the top and bottom of the beam ends. Through the use of REDCs as the designated energy-dissipation devices, the damage is controlled within the REDCs, which can be replaced easily after the earthquake. This will reduce the structural damage, repair cost, and repair time, which makes this structure more efficient and resilient toward future earthquakes. The seismic performance of the fabricated concrete frame with replaceable energy dissipation connectors(REDC-FCF) and the ordinary reinforced concrete frame (RCF) was contrasted by nonlinear static and dynamic analyses. The result indicates that the REDC-FRCF can be effectively applied in seismic resistance and could be used in high seismic zones.
